Our Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the Which? Web Trader Code of Practice.

We collect information about you for 2 possible reasons:

a) if you register on our site

b) to process any insurance policy you may buys from us, and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will not contact you in the future unless you have given us your consent.

We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing solicitation from us or from another trader in the future.

We may share relevant data with an third party supplier acting on our behalf in the service of your policy. That supplier will usually be named in your policy wording, but in order to ensure operational effectiveness, we reserve the right to change any supplier without notice.

These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services. An example supplier for a travel insurance policy, would be the emergency assistance company which might help to repatriate you after illness whilst traveling abroad.

We may share your data with any party who is acting as a legitimate intermediary on your behalf. The identity of such an intermediary would stated clearly on the website, prior to you providing your personal details.

Typically, that intermediary would be acting as an insurance broker or be a club or association with whom you had an existing relationship. That intermediary will not contact you in future unless you have given your consent.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

Your name

Date of birth

Address

Phone number

E-mail address

If purchasing we may occasionally collect other relevant personal details as may be required to underwrite or fulfill your insurance policy

If registering on our site, we collect other relevant details as may relate to registration; these include your job role and Local Education Authority.

Credit/debit card details

Details of those other persons to be insured under your insurance policies - these will only ever be used for legitimate purposes related to that insurance policy

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law and the Which? Web Trader Code.

If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behavior of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

We may use IP addresses and referring URLs to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
